How People works
People is a memecoin launchpad on Robinhood Chain, built on the Pons launch factory. Every coin is tied to exactly one person, and each person's net worth is the combined market cap of their coins.
Overview
Launching on People works like any launchpad: you name a coin, it opens on a bonding curve paired with ETH, and anyone can trade it. The difference is that you tie the coin to a person when you launch it. That link is permanent.
People
People lists 100 featured public figures across Crypto, Politics, Culture and Tech. Anyone can add a new person while launching a coin: enter a name, an optional X handle, a category and a photo. People stores the person with your launch; there is no on-chain registry. Every person, featured or community-added, has a page with their coins and net worth.
Community-added persons are tagged Community and Not verified, and they go live when their first coin launches.

The launch fee is read from Pons's launchFee() and paid in ETH. The name, ticker and person cannot be changed after deploy.
Net worth
A person's net worth is the sum of the live fully diluted market cap (FDV) of every coin tied to them. People are ranked by net worth on the leaderboard.
Bonding curve and graduation
New coins trade on a Pons bonding curve against ETH. Each coin opens at ≈ $4.5K FDV, and the price rises as the curve fills. When 4.2 ETH has been raised, the coin graduates at ≈ $55K FDV and moves to a Uniswap v4 pool on Robinhood Chain. The pool's liquidity is locked permanently.
Fees
Every trade pays two fees: the Pons base trading fee of 1.0%, and the coin's creator fee, which the launcher picks at launch (0%, 0.5%, 1% or 2%) and which can never change. Pons takes its protocol share of the base fee. The rest, the creator share of the base fee plus the whole creator fee, goes 90% to the launcher and 10% to buying back and burning $PEOPLEPAD. This applies on the bonding curve and after graduation. Creating a coin costs the Pons launch fee, currently 0.0005 ETH.
Every coin has its own fee splitter contract that receives the coin's creator fees. Of everything it receives, 90% goes to the launcher and 10% goes to the $PEOPLEPAD buyback. The split is fixed in the contract, on every coin, forever. Launchers claim their 90% with the Claim button on the coin page; nothing is paid out automatically. The claim only pays the launcher: the 10% stays reserved in the splitter, and the keeper sends it to the buyback. PeoplePad takes no cut of its own.
The buyback contract has no owner and no withdraw function. Its ETH can only buy $PEOPLEPAD, and every token it buys is sent to the dead address (0x…dEaD). Buys are capped at 2% of the market's ETH depth or 2 ETH, at most once every 3 hours.
Buys in the first seconds after a launch pay a short, decaying snipe tax set by Pons.
$PEOPLEPAD
$PEOPLEPAD is PeoplePad's own token, a Pons coin on Robinhood Chain with a fixed supply. 10% of every PeoplePad coin's creator fees buys it on market and burns it, so its supply only goes down. Its page shows the price, market cap, supply, holders, the ETH queued for the next buyback and every buyback so far.
$PEOPLEPAD →Risks
- Memecoins are highly volatile and can go to zero.
- Listed people are not affiliated with People and do not endorse any coin tied to them.
- Coin names and tickers are not unique. Several coins can share a name or ticker, so check the contract address before trading.
- Net worth is a platform metric. It is not the person's real wealth.
- Community-added people are not verified. Check the person page before trading.
- The Pons v2 contracts and PeoplePad's fee contracts are not audited. Smart contracts can contain bugs.
- The Pons protocol owner can redirect a coin's creator fees after a 3-day public timelock. PeoplePad's contracts cannot prevent that.
FAQ
Contracts
People has no smart contracts of its own. Every coin launches through the Pons v2 contracts on Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663).
The Pons v2 contracts are not yet audited; audits are in progress. See the Pons v2 docs.
